Fridge Rules

None of us are your maid, keep the fridge clean yourself. The fridge is a police state, not a democracy.

RULES

  1. LABEL EVERYTHING YOU PLACE IN THE FRIDGE. Labeling means YOUR FULL NAME and THE CURRENT DATE.
  2. Remove your own items before they stink.
  3. Condiments, everything must be labeled with a single person’s name.
  4. Remove your own food. This is a small space for all students, be reasonable with the space you use.
  5. Stinky items, specifically cheeses, must be contained in sealable plastic/glass-ware.
  6. Don’t steal the marker. C’mon, get your own.
  7. No non-food, non-edible items.

Shelf Life

  • Take Out/Prepared Foods: Two (2) Days MAX.
  • Condiments: Until expiration or a crowded fridge. Is there already some of that condiment in the fridge? Ask the person whose name is on the label if you can share. We don’t need three ketchups. Space is limited.
  • Bulk drinks (milk, alt-milks, juice): Until stinky or expired. Like condiments above, please work together to limit multiple items. Space is limited.

Regulating

I don’t want to have to regulate, but I will. Whenever I feel that the fridge is getting messy I’m going to clean out. Unlabeled items will get tossed. Rotting items will be tossed. Old items will be tossed. Messy/spilled items will be tossed.

Repeat offenders will be called out on the List.
